Eynsham Turns Out in Force for The People’s Emergency Briefing

In June, over 70 Eynsham residents packed the village hall for a special screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing - a powerful 50-minute documentary tackling one of the defining challenges of our time.

The film offers a succinct, expert-backed summary of a high-level briefing originally presented to 1,200 MPs at Westminster in late 2025. Covering everything from economics and defence to public health, nature, and food security, it reveals just how interconnected the climate crisis really is.

Yet despite the sheer scale of the challenges, the message wasn't one of doom and gloom. Instead, the documentary struck a carefully balanced tone, offering clear facts alongside genuine messages of hope and optimism.

Local Action, Bigger Picture

The screening was facilitated by long-term Eynsham resident and business consultant Deborah Fleming, who highlighted the power of coming together as a community:

"The benefit of this documentary is it brings all the facts together in one place, allowing people to make their own informed decisions and fostering a 'can-do' attitude toward these big issues," Deborah explained.

"We’re very lucky in Eynsham to have so many opportunities to give back socially, support our local environment, and make a real difference - both to our own lives and the lives of others."
