NRN were pleased to participate again in this year's Apple Day in Eynsham, which proved to be as inspiring as ever, with apple pressing, willow weaving, woodland crafts, delicious vegan cooking and plenty of homebaked cakes!

A range of varieties of apple for ID and tasting

We talked to many people from Eynsham and further afield about Nature Recovery Network, the Thames Valley Wildflower Restoration Project and our Wet Woodland Project. Crab apple seeds were available to be sown as part of our new Community Tree Nursery Project. We are collecting seed and cuttings from our local ancient trees to develop the wet woodland over time. We are delighted to be supported by the International Tree Foundation in this project.

Many children got stuck in helping us plant locally collected crab apple seeds for our new tree nursery.
