Bridewell Gardens takes delivery of our rare wildflower seedlings to pot on. We have been working with Bridewell for over ten years. They and FarmAbility are our most cherished partners without whom there wouldn't be so many beautiful new floodplain meadows!
We hope you've had a great summer. At Nature Recovery Network, alongside partners Bridewell Gardens, we have been furiously potting on wildflowers at every opportunity. We all outdid ourselves seed sowing this Spring and need to get our precious seedlings into pots so they can grow big enough for planting out this Autumn.
Although it might be some time before the soil rehydyrates enough to be able to plant out, we want to be ready when it does, and plan to get as many plants into the ground as possible! With that in mind we are starting to look ahead to September, October and November - and we'd love your help.

NRNers staking claim to the Willow Coppice
NRN's New Wet Woodland Project - calling out for seeds!
NRN has taken on Eynsham's 10-acre monoculture willow coppice to transform over time into a valuable species rich Wet Woodland that will provide habitat for a range of wild animals and mitigate the effects of winter flooding.

- Please take a photograph of the tree (ideally with GPS enabled on your phone) and note down the location on the packet with your seeds.
- Keep the seeds cool until bringing them - ideally in a bag in the fridge

Rare Summer Meadow Visitors
White Stork from Devon feeding on Long Mead
There was much excitement in July with the arrival of a White Stork, feasting on the abundant invertebrates in our floodplain meadows. It was with us for over 10 days until the hay cut. See more photos and read too about our cuckoo here!

Autumn Community Meadow Restoration Days
Help us pot on the last of our hand-propagated plants for planting out this season and be the first to sow the first of next season’s Devil's bit scabious and Great burnet. We'll be potting on, seed sorting and having a lovely time in the meadow.
