Julia Loken worked for 20 years as a botanical illustrator for Oxford University and other organisations and publishers, making pen and ink illustrations for textbooks and botanical publications. In 1980, she turned her attention to painting in watercolour. Her experience in botany, and great love of plants, have led her to choose these forms as my main subjects. She is a member of the Society of Botanical Artists, and have held exhibitions in Switzerland, France, and the US, as well as in London, Oxford, and of course in Eynsham, often in conjunction with Oxfordshire Artweeks.
Catriona Bass is a writer and environmentalist. She is co-founder of the Thames Valley Wildflower Meadow Restoration Project and co-owner of Long Mead Local Wildlife Site.
