WATER MATTERS Talk

 

The Eynsham Society recently hosted a talk by Prof. Kevan Martin entitled 'Water Matters'. This was not intended as the prelude for Storm Bert to drop a month's-worth of rain on Eynsham in 24 hours, but Storm Bert did illustrate vividly the growing problem of flooding and pollution in our brooks, streams and rivers, which was the subject of the talk.

Kevan described how the Nature Recovery Network is monitoring our local water courses and how it is working to develop nature-based solutions to mitigate flooding and associated pollution. An illustrated account based on his talk can be found here.
