After having to cancel our December Hedge Plantathon because of flooding, we had the challenge of getting nearly 1km-worth of double-row hedge, comprising 45 hundred whips, planted in a single day.

In the event we exchanged floods, for icy weather - not at all ideal for planting...

We had the whips, but could the planting go ahead despite frozen ground? If so, would more than two people turn out on such a chilly winter's day? How could we possibly meet the Challeng we set ourselves?
