Come and join in the botanical survey of Eynsham Playing Fields' Carnival Meadow and learn to identify our local wildflowers. (No experience needed)
It is two years since the Carnival Meadow was sown with seed from Long Mead Local Wildlife Site and six months since NRN community members planted out wildflowers grown by NRN's Plant Propagation Group and Long Mead's Carefarming Group.
Now is the time to come and discover which floodplain meadow flowers have established themselves before the meadow gets cut for the Carnival. How many of the cowslips sponsored by the Eynsham Society have taken? Are the oxeye daisies potted on by the Pinkhill Scouts flourishing?
The workshop is led by Susan Paice, Alison Muldal and Catriona Bass.
