Description

As part of our mission to record and monitor our local flora and fauna, we want to establish a baseline for butterfly species distribution across local meadows.

This is the sixth and final of our monthly butterfly surveys in 2026, covering the season from April to September.

We will be surveying along 6 transects in and around Eynsham. We particularly encourage members who have atttended our previous butterfly workshops to attend and over time build up their knowledge and skills, but beginners are also welcome and some on the job training will be provided!

Please wear appropriate clothes and footwear for field walking. You may wish to bring a notebook and pencil. However basic paperwork will be provided.

Butterfly Transect walkers often use binoculars to help identify the smaller species. Do bring them along if you wish.
