Description

Join the initial 2026 meeting of the bat survey group to hear a  presentation of last year's data and discuss the plan for this year with expert Sylfest Muldal and local enthusiast Carl Rylett.

Followed by the first in this year's series of monthly surveys across two transects at Long Mead and in our Community Meadows down by Eynsham Lock.

Each survey will take 2 hours and the groups will be small, focused and quiet enough not to overly disturb the bats and get some good survey data.

Please travel by foot, bus or bike if you can. The E1 Bus stops at the Talbot Inn, just outside our gate. We are between the Swinford Toll Bridge and the Talbot Inn (opposite the pub) recognisable by the row of rusty birds on the gate and a thatch barn in the orchard.

If you need to travel by car please use the Eynsham Sports Pavillion car park (1 Oxford Rd, Eynsham, Witney OX29 4HG). It is marked with a green pointer on the map. It is 7 minutes walk from us.
