Description

Continuing our series of workshops focusing on the value of combining scientific learning with artistic expression.

Both science and art require close and sustained attention to the subjects under scrutiny, both require understanding, both require interpretation and communication. 'Wild Arts' aims to take this symbiosis further with a series of workshops led by local artists in collaboration with local ecologists that draw inspiration, reference and material directly from the local habitat and combine opportunities to learn new skills, knowledge and respond creatively.

In this workshop invertebrate expert and author Linda Losito, and leaf hopper specialist Dr Mike Wilson will help you to discover the secret lives of spiders, bugs and beetles, whilst artist Alice Walker will enable an exploration of creative responses to this hidden world.

Places are limited due to availability of equipment so register now to reserve your spot!

Please travel by foot, bus or bike if you can. The E1 Bus stops at the Talbot Inn, just outside our gate. We are between the Swinford Toll Bridge and the Talbot Inn (opposite the pub) recogniseable by the row of rusty birds on the gate and a thatch barn in the orchard.

If you need to travel by car please use the Eynsham Sports Pavilion car park (1 Oxford Rd, Eynsham, Witney OX29 4HG).
