Surveying our populations of wildlife and plant life is an essential part of what we do at NRN. If you wish to help out with our monthly bird surveys, please join us for an informal and informative session. We will review the results of the past two year’s activities and we will look forward to a new season of surveys. Hopefully we'll get to wander around Long Mead and a catch a few early spring migrants. No matter what your experience, all are welcome!

Sally Taylor will also provide an update on the Eynsham swifts, ahead of their arrival in early May.

This workshop will be held at Long Mead barn and in our species-rich floodplain hay meadow. Please travel by foot, bus or bike if you can. The S1 Bus stops at the Talbot Inn, just outside our gate. We are between the Swinford Toll Bridge and the Talbot Inn (opposite the pub) recogniseable by the row of rusty birds on the gate and a thatch barn in the orchard.

If you need to travel by car please use the Eynsham Sports Pavillion car park (1 Oxford Rd, Eynsham, Witney OX29 4HG). It is marked with a green pointer on the map. It is 7 minutes walk from us.
