A Network of People working for Nature Recovery

Meadow Restoration Day – THIS Sunday 21st Sept, 2–5 PM
Join the Green Gym at Long Mead!

As a network we’ve propagated hundreds of rare wildflower seedlings to restore community meadows for us all – but now we need your help to pot them on so they can thrive!

Whether you stay for 30 minutes or the full afternoon, your hands will make a real difference. No experience needed – just bring your energy and enthusiasm.

We’ll be making use of our new greenhouse if the weather is inclement.

We Won! Oxford Climate Awards Recognition

We are delighted to have won the Oxford Climate Award for Biodiversity and Ecology.

Thank you everyone for your amazing contributions!

It is so important to us to be able to shine a light on the plight of our floodplain meadows and to celebrate the Nature Recovery Network - our bottom-up network of individuals & organisations who have come together to create a nature recovery network of this critically endangered habitat.

Catriona offers thanks to the network and our partners here

Apple tasting and Greenhouse christening

Have you seen our new greenhouse? This invaluable new space dedicated to our wildflower plant propagation was funded thanks to a mix of community crowdfunding, and grants from both West Oxfordshire District Council’s Community Infrastructure Fund and Westhive Fund.

We’ll be packing it full of plants in the coming weeks as the weather turns colder, but on Wednesday a jolly gaggle of network members working as part of our weekly propagation group christened it with an impromptu apple/apple juice tasting lunch!

If you’d be interested in joining in on Mondays or Wednesdays (especially Wednesday afternoons!) to help with plant propagation and meadow restoration please contact Catriona here.
