October meet up to continue with the restoration of the 50 acres that the Nature Recovery Network have leased adjacent to the river Thames. This is land where we can all help restore the nature around us.

We are planning to begin planting out the hand-propagated rare wildflower plants, which our Wednesday plant propagation group has been growing and nurturing through the year, in Changeable Furlongs opposite Long Mead. These are meadows that we have leased from Oxford County Council to restore for nature as part of our Thames Valley Wildflower Meadow Restoration Project, which is been selected as one of Oxfordshire's Strategic Projects in its Local Nature Recovery Strategy.

Please bring your own drinks. There will likely be cake! Bring strong gardening gloves if you have them as we have some thistles to pull out. We would be grateful if you could register so that we can plan for the correct numbers of people. 

We'll meet directly at Changeable Furlongs meadow, which can be accessed via the wharf steam way footpath - see map below.
